I decided to take a couple of minutes and update what is going on with me.  A week ago, I was out working in the yard at the house I live at.  With the slight exception of mowing in the front, it doesn't look like anyone has really taken care of anything for years.  I started out by raking out the back yard and the porch like area between the house and garage.  Anyway, most recently I've been working in the landscape type area at the front of the house.  It had been landscaped before, but it was not filled with leaves which had apparently decayed into dirt which has weeds, trees and vines growing in it.  I was raking out the leaves and pulling out the trees, weeds and vines.  When I got done and was washing my hands off, I noticed they looked strange.  There were reddish white inflamed spots all over my palms and fingers.  It didn't itch, just hurt a little when touched.  I figured it was just a bit sore from the work, kind of like a pre-blister.  Come Friday night I began to itch all over.  It turned out that all of the vines I had pulled out with my bare hands were actually poison ivy.  I'd never had poison ivy before so I hadn't bothered to learn what it looked like.  I regret this now.  Presently my hands, arms and various other places are all itching.  From my understanding it takes two weeks or more to wear off.  So I haven't been feeling the greatest here.

In the area of work I've been making a little progress, though it hasn't been going as well as I'd like.  After I quit my last job, I created a time budget and have been tracking how I spend my time.  I'm trying to learn how to most effectively manage it.  I identified two problems I have that I feel need worked on.  First, I always get on a real late time schedule.  Naturally I'm most awake at night and sleep best in the morning.  So I stay up late (because I usually can't get to sleep earlier) which means I sleep in late.  The second problem is that I generally don't have much energy when I am awake.  I rarely feel more than moderately energetic and it's not uncommon to feel pretty tired at some point during the day.

I've been doing some research attempting to figure out how to improve these situations.  I came across an article on Wikipedia about Delayed sleep-phase syndrome which I think I have because it describes how I am.  The good news is it has some potential treatment which I'm going to try.

As far as energy goes, I'm still not real sure about this one.  Diet is one thing that a lot of places talk about.  I try to do some small things in my diet, such as eating whole wheat instead of white.  But overall I'm not really sure how to practically improve my diet that much, partly because of preparation and storage and partly because of money.

Other than that I'm recognizing that I'm not putting as much time into work as I want to.  Though I've been doing time tracking, I still feel like I'm having a bit of a difficult time figuring out where my time is going.  I don't feel like I'm wasting much time which is good.  However I'm not entirely sure how to put more time into work.  I'm planning to sit down soon and reevaluate my time budget and probably adjust it some.  I'm hoping that if I get on a more normal, regular sleep schedule, that it will help with energy and time spent working.  And I'm hoping to find a way to have more energy, because I feel that I could be much more efficient and productive with the time I do have if I feel more awake and alert.

Financially I'm not doing well.  I haven't paid rent and some bills, and I only have about $50, with nothing coming in.  But a friend of mine has a lead on work for a month, so that might potentially help.
