Two things are true:
  1. I enjoy DJing.
  2. I almost never get a chance to DJ.

Unfortunately, the term DJ is used for a handful of very different roles. You have radio DJs, which aren't really DJs at all anymore, but rather just on air personalities. Then you have turntablists, which do scratching and are basically the ultimate type of DJ. Inbetween you have what I call reception DJs, because you generally find them at wedding receptions and similar events. In my opinion, they usually play only pop crap, even if you tell them not to, because that's all they have. I am none of these types of DJs. I am a club type of DJ. That means I like to play music I consider to be good, music that fits the environment and which goes into creating the atmosphere. However since I'm not into pop music and my tastes aren't mainstream, I haven't had a chance to DJ in a really long time.

I have made a number of compilations. Check out the details here: Compilations
